FAQ

Helpful Information

WHAT KIND OF WOOD DO YOU USE?

Most of the wood is from homes that are being torn down in our neighborhood (and surrounding). Typically, this is construction lumber littered with nails, screws, and staples. We then clean up the lumber and rip it down to make one-of-a-kind Tuggle's Timber pieces.

HOW MUCH DOES A CUSTOM ORDER COST?

Prices vary upon size! Please go to our Custom Order page for more information.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE MY CUSTOM ORDER?

This could vary due to demand, but we typically estimate that you will have it within 4-8 weeks at most.

RETURNS/EXCHANGES?

All sales are final, but please contact us if you are not satisfied with your order & we will do our best to accommodate.

CAN I PICK-UP MY ORDER?

Yes! Please let us know if you'd like to pick-up. Shipping is expensive, so picking up you order could drastically reduce the final cost!

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SHIP MY PIECE?

If you are ordering a pre-made piece, items will be shipped within 7 days via USPS or UPS. If you are ordering a custom piece, items will be made & shipped within 4-8 weeks depending on size, detail & demand.

CAN YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

We offer free shipping in the continental US, but we are unable to ship out of the country at this time.

I HAVE SOME OLD WOOD THAT'S MEANINGFUL TO ME, CAN YOU INCORPORATE THAT INTO MY CUSTOM PIECE?

I'd say that 50% of the time this is possible! Sometimes, wood is in such bad of shape, that we can't salvage it. Likely, your piece won't be entirely made of that wood, but as much as we can. Please let us know that you'd like to do this when you make your custom order.

DO YOU SELL WHOLESALE?

We don't currently, but we are open to having a discussion on the topic! Please contact us if interested.

DO YOU HAVE A STORE?

We do! We opened Tuggle's Gifts and Goods on November 6, 2020 in historic Fountain Square in Indianapolis, Indiana. Tuggle's Timber is displayed there as well as the work of many other Hoosiers who sell their goods.

THEY LOOK HEAVY! HOW CAN MY WALL SUPPORT A LARGE PIECE?

Sometimes they can get heavy, but a 4x2 is betwen 14-30 pounds. We use a heavy duty french cleat hanger that can support up to 100 pounds just to play it safe!

I HAVE A BUNCH OF WOOD I DON'T WANT. DO YOU WANT IT?

That depends! Sometimes I can accept wood that you no longer want, but it depends on many factors. If my stock-pile of wood is too high, my wife may say no. (I've started storing some hardwoods in my basement, but lets keep that between us...)
